Why I’ll Be Using UPS From Now On

So a few weeks ago my Shure E2c’s broke. Again. For the third or fourth time.
So I called Shure up and told them my story. The first woman told me to go buy other headphones, and the reason my E2c’s kept breaking was because they’re the cheapest model. But that’s ridiculous. Just because it’s the low end model, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t live up to Shure’s product quality.
I call back a few days later. Explain how I’m sick of getting replacement earbuds that keep breaking. I ask to be transferred to a supervisor, where I was graciously helped. The representative told me that if I sent my E2c’s in attention to her, that she’d send me back a pair of SE310’s for my trouble. I was ecstatic, and shipped my earbuds off with FedEx, mainly because I wanted to both track the earbuds (make sure it got there), and have some peace of mind with FedEx’s reliability. Also, I wanted it to get there as quick as possible without spending much money, so FedEx was the answer.
After it sitting in the NY FedEx terminal for nearly four days, I call up and ask where my package is. After being transferred numerous times to various people, I’m told it’s lost.
WTF.
After nearly snapping the phone in half, I’m told I’ll be called in a couple of days to check up on if they found my package. After a couple of days, no phone call. I go to file a claim for a lost package, and send in all necessary documentation. Although the requirements did enlist an invoice of the product, the representative I spoke to said it wasn’t necessary if I didn’t have it. I happily sent in the claim and awaited a response within the 5 to 7 business days promised.
5 to 7 business days later, and nothing. I call to check up on it, and it’s still being “processed”. I wait a bit longer, and call today, speaking to a representative who wanted me to fax in proof of the E2c’s price and a description so she could find the package. I told her I didn’t need the package to be found, since they already tried looking for it weeks ago, and that I just wanted my claim. She refused to listen, and I eventually asked to be transferred to someone else, as this woman was just an idiotic asshole. She hung up on me. Fucking bitch.
Another call, another asshole rep, another hang up.
One more call, and a new, nicer rep came on the line, saying if I faxed in proof of price and all previous forms already faxed, that she would assign someone new to the claim and call me back tomorrow. Finally, someone who would do something.
I faxed in all the forms and am waiting a reply. FedEx has put me through fucking hell with their shit service. It took over two weeks to find someone that would take care of my claim and finally get it going.
Lesson learned: don’t use FedEx. They eat shit.
